Teeth whitening is currently the forerunner in cosmetic treatments. Wichita teeth whitening is a much sought-after procedure availed of by both women and men today. The word “whitening” refers to the process of removing dirt and debris to restore the teeth’s natural white color.

Young children often have milky white teeth. This is because the enamel has porcelain-like sparking color to it. The color of enamel is due to the tiny crystalline rods that surround it. This helps strengthen the outer layer of the teeth. Enamel functions as a protective layer that aids teeth to ward off decay and deteriorating forces such as gnashing, grinding and even chewing. As the years go by, the coloring of enamel changes. It turns to dull yellow as opposed to sparkling white. This yellow color is the color of dentin which is the innermost part of enamel. This means that the inner part of teeth is showing. Enamel is therefore slowly being worn down.

Each time food is chewed, tiny cracks occur in the enamel. The cracks and the spaces between teeth are replaced by stains and debris. Discoloration of teeth then occurs.
