<p>And the sad truth is that crash dieting shuts down your metabolism (think muscle loss and fat gain) for a very long time. So try to cruise along with your diet instead of crashing with it. Here are 6 eat-right tips that will help you cruise along the way to sexy arm stardom:</p>
<p>1. Don&#8217;t try to burn a crazy amount of calories. You are not the energizer bunny, so please don&#8217;t spend hours and hours in the gym every day. All your arms need to stop jiggling is a short but hard workout (45min. or less), 2-3 times a week.</p>
<p>2. Throw away your food journal. Actually, if you have a food journal feel free to burn it while chanting a victory song. On the surface, the concept of keeping a journal may seem like a good idea, but eventually it will make you feel like a slave.</p>
<p>3. Focus on general eating patterns. All you have to do is make sure each one of your meals has a protein, vegetable, carbohydrate and fat source. If you want to take it to the next level, make sure you carbohydrate sources are only legumes. Do this, and everything else will fall into place.</p>
<p>4. Banish your calorie-counting tendencies. Even worse than your food journal, calorie-counting is another full time job. And the worst part is that it&#8217;s based on an obsolete closed thermodynamic model. A 3500 caloric deficit does NOT equal a pound of fat loss. <p>5. Keep consuming your guilty pleasures. All you have to do here is reduce the size of your guilty pleasure and accompany it with a fibrous serving of vegetables. Do both of these and the negative impact of your guilty food will be greatly reduced, if not eliminated.</p>
<p>6. Don&#8217;t have more than one serving of alcohol per day. Again, despite all the advice on this one, many of my female clients still drink way too much. Aside from a high caloric content, alcohol shuts down all your arm fat burning hormones. The good news is that the more you exercise, the less alcohol you need to achieve that &#8220;buzz&#8221; feeling.</p>
<p>Ok, now you have 6 tips to follow that should make learning how to lose arm fat that much easier. Be patient and change your eating style piecemeal, day by day. If you diet the dirty way, you&#8217;ll end up crashing!</p>

<p>1. Supplements are safe because they are &#8220;natural&#8221;: Just because something is natural does NOT make it safe. After all, there are many things in nature that will kill you if eaten. And keep in mind that many supplements contain ultra-concentrated levels of natural nutrients which ironically, makes then quite unnatural.</p>
<p>2. They are backed by valid studies: Most of the sexy charts and graphs you see on the labels and advertisements are made up. You see, the bulk of the data is performed by biased entities that are directly related to the supplement companies themselves.</p>
<p>3. Your health takes front seat: Well, I wish this was true, but when you consider that billions in sales are involved&#8230; You see, with so much money on the table, companies can lose sight of what is right and what is wrong. Ephedra, for instance, is a perfect example of things gone wrong.</p>
<p>4. The placebo effect doesn&#8217;t exist: The placebo effect is real, very real. So just because someone you know swears by a supplement, doesn&#8217;t mean that it&#8217;s safe. Simply taking a sugar pill can make 40% of a group feel an improvement. Now 40% is a huge number. This makes sense, however, since our minds have such great control over our bodies.</p>
<p>In the end, you need to be weary of all the sexy advertising and use common sense when purchasing a supplement. And if you really want to stay on the safe side, only take supplements that have been tested by independent entities with controlled studies.</p>

<p>1. Measuring tape: You don&#8217;t need expensive fat calipers or expensive weight scales, both can be very inaccurate. Instead, use a simple measuring tape to assess progress. The best way to ensure accuracy here is to make sure you are measuring yourself in the same areas every time you perform assessments.</p>
<p>2. Heart checkers: Getting a good heart rate monitor does not have to be expensive and it is a great tool for measuring how intense an exercise is for your body. You see, your body is constantly adapting to exercise so measuring heart rate is a great way to really see how hard something is for you.</p>
<p>3. NEPA logger: Measuring how much non exercise physical activity you get every day is a great way to assess how much extra fat you are going to be able to burn. Thus, a pedometer is a great addition to your arsenal of assessment tools. And keep in mind that the more non exercise physical activity you do, the more weight you will lose.</p>
<p>4. Circulatory monitors: As you get in shape, your circulation will improve. And knowing how much your circulation is improving is a great way to stay motivated for the long haul. So I recommend getting a basic blood pressure monitor to watch these changes take place.</p>
<p>5. A pair of weight lifting shoes: If you are lifting weights with typical cross trainers, be careful. These types of shoes are not designed for weight lifting and can set you up for injury. You see, with weight lifting shoes it&#8217;s much easier to place your weight on the heels of your feet which is the most stable position.</p>
<p>Losing fat is not an overnight process. If it were, everybody would have a great physique. But it doesn&#8217;t have to be that hard. The above tools can really help you reach your goals!</p>

<p>2. Strength training: There are numerous benefits to strength training. It will prevent bone loss, make daily living easier, help you burn more calories and help you look better. The key here is to find a type of strength training that you enjoy. You see, you don&#8217;t have to become a bodybuilder to get the benefits here.</p>
<p>3. Flexibility work: Training your body to become more flexible is a great way to prevent a lot of common injuries and pain. <p>4. Balance training: Balance tends to fade with age. And having proper balance is critical for preventing unnecessary injury. <p>It&#8217;s important to avoid ineffective exercises when trying to lose arm flab. Unfortunately, all the experts have different opinions on this one.</p>
<p>And said opinions are usually based on subjective experience, not objective facts. How are you supposed to figure this out if the experts can&#8217;t?</p>
<p>But I have some good news for you. I have decided to create that reliable source of information that is based on fact. Learning how to lose arm flab with the best exercises will be a cinch if you follow my exercise reviews.</p>
<p>So without further delay, here is today&#8217;s review of barbell reverse wrist curls:</p>
<p>1. Overview: Gym rats across the globe hunch over and do wrist curls until the cows come home. I guess lots of people want forearms like Popeye. Our goal, however, is to tone the jiggly upper arm area, not the forearms.</p>
<p>2. Technical quick-start: Grasp a barbell, sit down on a bench and place your wrists on your knees. Slowly raise the barbell for a full contraction and then slowly lower it.</p>
<p>3. Most common errors: Gripping the barbell with excessive force. This can cause substantial pain in the wrists. Not bringing the barbell all the way up and all the way down. And letting the elbows shift around.</p>
<p>4. Bottom line: Unless you need to strengthen your forearms for some particular reason, you should not be doing this exercise. It does not target the jiggly upper arm area. You are much better served doing other exercises.</p>
